2022-2023 School Year 

Welcome back Kit Carson families,
I hope you all had a wonderful summer break and enjoyed your children being home with you for the short break we had. We are looking forward with enthusiasm to the new school year.

All staff have been participating in training this last week and are ready to provide all students with the opportunity to excel in academics, social and emotional learning, fine arts, and physical
education so that our students may become positive, contributing members of our school and community.

Some changes this year is the fencing, dress code, and end of school day procedures.

Due to safety concerns, all gates will be locked at 8am in the morning. Any one coming late to school will have to accompany their child to the front office.

The district has made some changes to the dress code this year, for more information go to the APS website. For now, we are a uniform school, and may look at changes for next school
year. The school did make some changes to the current dress code, this year we are allowing uniform colored leggings or denim, for the males we are allowing uniform colored joggers. We are still requiring uniform polo shirts. (Any color)

This year students will not be dismissed until the bell rings at 2:00pm. All students Kinder -Fifth will be dismissed and released at the roundabout pick up area. Students are not to be picked up at the staff parking.

8/29 Community Council Meeting 2:30 – 3:30 (Virtual)
8/31 Cafecito with the Principal 8:30-10:00 (Virtual)
